INDIANAPOLIS – April 18, 2016 – Freightliner Trucks will feature several of its leading fire and emergency vehicles at the 2016 FDIC International Show (April 18-23, 2016). The booth (#4921) will showcase multiple configurations available to customers as well as options for this market.
“It’s critical that emergency service vehicles provide consistent uptime and versatile capabilities,” said Mary Aufdemberg, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. “Our solutions ensure customers can depend on those capabilities in even the most difficult situations.”
Freightliner’s fire and emergency vehicles include the 114SD, M2 106 and M2 112. All Freightliner fire and emergency vehicles feature industry leading visibility and maneuverability and can be spec’d with SCBA provisions, NFPA vehicle data recorders and seatbelt displays, and a variety of bright finish exterior options.

Freightliner trucks to be featured at the FDIC International Show include:
An M2 106 featuring a KME Challenger™ body and a Cummins ISL engine with an Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission. The fire truck has the Freightliner SmartPlex® Electrical System, as well as ample storage space.    
A Freightliner M2 112 Spartan ERV pumper truck with a Detroit™ DD13® engine and Detroit Virtual Technician™.  Features such as a lightweight Donaldson Air Cleaner, a side hood air intake with NFPA-compliant ember screen and fire and an adjustable tilt and telescoping steering column further enhance the vehicle.

A Pierce Manufacturing M2 106 fire truck with a Cummins ISB engine, Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission and a WABCO ABS traction control system.

An M2 106 Excellance ambulance. Equipped with a Cummins ISB engine and Allison EVS 2500 automatic transmission, the ambulance’s modular body has a specially-designed extruded aluminum framework and thick aluminum plate welded together to form a strong but lightweight unit without exposed seams.  

A Boise Mobile Equipment (BME) on a M2 112 truck with a Cummins ISL engine and Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission. The custom, all-aluminum pumper body and door vehicle is manufactured to withstand the toughest conditions.
